21.3 Photo Upload Terms

Users grant ScrapTrade a licence to use uploaded photos for listing display, marketing, and platform operations. Users warrant that they own or have rights to all photos uploaded.

Specifically:

  • Photos must accurately represent the materials listed for sale
  • You must not upload photos that infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • You must not upload photos containing personal, sensitive, or identifying information of other individuals without their consent
  • ScrapTrade may remove photos that violate these Terms without notice
  • You can delete your listing at any time, which will remove associated photos from active databases

The photo licence granted to ScrapTrade is royalty-free, worldwide, and sublicensable solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. This licence terminates when you delete the associated listing or close your account, subject to any reasonable retention period required by law or our data retention policy.

21.4 Permission Limitations

Some app features require device permissions (camera, photos, notifications). While the core app remains accessible, certain features—such as photo capturing or real-time alerts—will not function if these specific permissions are denied or restricted by the user.

Summary of permissions and their impact:

  • Camera (required for new photo capture): Without this permission, you may still upload photos from your library but cannot take new photos within the app.
  • Photo Library / Media Access (required for photo uploads): Without this permission, you cannot upload photos to listings from your device.
  • Push Notifications (optional): Without this permission, you will not receive real-time alerts about bids, orders, or account activity. You can still access this information by logging into the app.
  • Location (optional): Without this permission, location-based listing features will be unavailable, but all other features remain accessible.

You can enable or disable permissions at any time through your device's system settings. ScrapTrade is not responsible for any reduced functionality resulting from denied permissions.
