This program is run by a real person on our team while we build a fully automated version with its own referral links and dashboard. For now, it works with a simple email. Three steps:
Email us your friend's name and email before they sign up, so the referral is logged against your account.
Your friend creates a free ScrapTrade account and completes one trade (buying or selling) worth $10,000 AUD or more.
Once that trade settles, we confirm it and pay your $100 AUD directly by bank transfer.
The one thing to get right: reach out before your friend signs up, not after. We need to log the referral against your account first, so when their trade settles, we already know it's yours to be paid for.
Any existing ScrapTrade user can refer: individual sellers, scrap dealers, recyclers, manufacturers, and yards are all welcome to take part. Who you refer is just as open:
Anyone with scrap to sell or a need to buy: a neighbour, a tradesperson clearing a job site, a friend renovating.
Scrap yards, recyclers, manufacturers, demolition contractors, or exporters: the $10,000 AUD minimum is easy to reach at business volumes.
The only people who don't qualify: a second account you create for yourself, or someone who already had a ScrapTrade account before you referred them.

Tell a friend, family member, or business contact about ScrapTrade. Once they sign up and complete a single trade (buying or selling) worth $10,000 AUD or more, you get $100 AUD. That's it. There's no limit to how many friends you can refer, so there's no cap on how much you can earn.
$100 AUD per friend who joins through you and completes a qualifying trade. There's no cap: refer 10 friends who each trade $10,000 AUD or more, and you earn $1,000 AUD. The reward is the same whether your friend is a buyer or a seller.
A trade is complete once payment has cleared through ScrapTrade's escrow and the deal is marked settled on the platform: a won auction, an accepted fixed-price purchase, or an accepted Wanted Board offer, with funds released. A trade that's still in negotiation, an active but unpaid auction, or a cancelled deal doesn't qualify yet.
Before. Email cs@scraptrade.com.au with your ScrapTrade account email and your friend's name and email before they register, so we can log the referral against your account. We can't retroactively credit a referral for someone who already signed up on their own without being linked to you first. There'd be no way to confirm they came through you.

You don't earn a reward from that trade, but the referral stays logged against your account. If the same friend later completes a trade of $10,000 AUD or more, you're still credited for the referral at that point. It doesn't have to be their very first trade.
Yes. Scrap dealers, recyclers, manufacturers, and yards are welcome referrals. There's no restriction to personal contacts. The same $10,000 AUD single-trade minimum applies.
No: the referral has to be for a genuinely new ScrapTrade user who didn't already have an account before you referred them. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, or referrals for existing users won't be paid, and ScrapTrade reserves the right to withhold payment where a referral looks like it's being gamed.
